Terms

Terms of use

These terms cover the free pages, the obligation kit and the change watch. They are plain terms, not a legal opinion, and they do not replace advice on your own system or your own law.

Accuracy

The clause answers are our own statement of the published standard, written from the clause and cited so you can check them. They are not the official text. Check the official standard before you rely on a line for a contract, an audit or a regulatory response. The ISO record and the dates are read from the public page and carry the status shown. The planning date is an estimate, not an ISO commitment.

No certification and no legal advice

This site does not certify, audit, accredit or approve any organization, system or record. The standard has no certification scheme and tracking and certification are outside its scope. Nothing on the site is legal advice. Conformance to the standard does not replace legal, ethical, moral or financial obligations.

Trademarks and copyright

ISO, IEC and IEEE are the marks of their respective owners. This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by ISO, the IEC or IEEE. The standard text is not reproduced. Only clause titles, defined terms and data element names appear as the standard writes them; every other line is our own statement.

What you may do with the kit

The kit is licensed for use inside the organization that buys it, including its advisers working on that organization's record. You may not resell it, publish it as your own product or redistribute the files. The free pages may be linked and quoted with attribution.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes a guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded, including a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law. Where a guarantee applies and the failure is not a major failure, the publisher may choose to resupply the service or refund the price. Where the failure is a major failure, the consumer may choose a refund or a replacement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia. The parties submit to the courts of Queensland.
